Can't Decide Who to Take In Draft

So I have the #2 overall pick in the upcoming 2016 First-Year Player Draft. Here is the problem...there are a ton of SPs in the draft class and I can't decide who to take. I know I tend to always ask for advice, but this time, I honestly have no frikin' clue who to take... Below are a handful of possibilities...

Webb is the safest choice, because he could probably step into your rotation right away, he doesnt have the highest ceiling, but could be a borderline ace or a high end #2/3 on a playoff team.

Maloney seems like the best pitcher to me, but still has a low OVR despite some decently developed rankings, so he could be a more likely bust candidate, but he has true ace potential,

Any of the other pitchers would be okay to me, but I wouldnt take any of them above Webb or Maloney

Webb. Period. Draft him right now and then report back on how well he does for your organization.

Always take the player who is already well-developed and can contribute almost immediately. Everyone else has weaknesses or isn't fully developed.

Webb, easily. 4 pitches, already well developed, high GB%, the only flaw is the personality. Since the personality flaws, as I understand it, are more of a risk to his development than anything else, the fact that he already has developed significantly would mitigate that.

I agree 100%

Unless he suffers some injuries that hurt his ability, that kid will be a stud and will probably be ready for the majors before his 24th birthday.

There's nothing wrong with asking for advice either

I drafted Webb and he spent less than 2 months in the minors. He was promoted to major league club on August 22nd and made his first Major League start on August 24th. He went 6 innings, giving up 2 hits, 0 earned runs, walked 5 and struck out 6 and picked the win.

He is in Single-A still...

Looks like the team (OKC) decided to start him in Rookie and then moved him to Short-Season. I would have personally started him at High-A.

I will confirm the need to take the developed player. Unless you are loaded at the major league level you take the guy who is already at 50.

With that group of players I would have tried to trade later round picks or other less needed assets to get more first round picks. It is easier to do than you would think and I hardly ever get contributing players after the first two rounds.

I don't have draft pick trading enabled and probably never will enable that option. I have thought about it, but I can't imagine the A.I. knowing the difference between say a 2nd round pick and a 5th round pick.

In my experience with draft pick trading, the AI is very aware of the difference between a 2nd and 5th round pick, with a significant bump between a 2nd round pick and a 1st round pick. I've been pretty pleased with the AI's valuation of draft picks overall.

I will second that. The AI knows full well the value of each round. There is a big gap between 1st round and 2nd round, somewhat less between 2nd and 3rd and less for each thereafter. It takes good value to move into the first round.

The only issues is with value between higher and lower 1st round picks etc. Also if you have multiple picks in a given round it will always trade the highest pick, there is no way around this so far as I can find.

It stinks if you have the #1 overall pick, #10, and the #21 pick and want to trade up from #21, you have to wait til you make the other picks, But if you want to move from 21 to 9 you cannot without moving from 10 to 9 then waiting til you make the pick, then trading from 21 to 10, it sounds petty but it is a pain in the arse.

I figure it shouldn't be that hard to make it to where you can choose exactly which pick to trade.
