Ghost players for 25-man minor league team with no pitchers?

Do ghost players appear in minor-league games if the minor-league team has, say, 25 position players but absolutely no pitchers on the roster? In other words: do I need to reassign some infielders/outfielders to SP, MR, and CL roles? Or will the ghost players (which are enabled in our league) fill in those gaps, even though the roster itself is full?

And yes, I know I need to acquire pitchers via free agency, and I'm working on that as well.

But it'd be nice to know what I should do in the meantime, as it's an online league, and two weeks of games are ahead of me before I get any free agents.

Yes. the ghost players will fill in any needed position regardless of roster space/composition
