Kinda screwed up with my schedule
In one of my leagues I contracted a team in the off-season, but kept the same number of games on the schedule. I simmed to opening day and saved and backed the game up. Then I simmed the season and teams are playing different amount of games with a 7-team, 60-game schedule.
Screwed up in that I have no backups from farther back in my league's history and since it's not the pre-season it won't let me mess with the schedule. Any work-arounds?

I don't think there are any workarounds. I just had a sorta similar problem where I got to opening day and found that my league schedule was totally hosed up. My solution was to go to a backup from Dec 31 of the previous year, then work forward from there, fixing the schedule problem during the preseason. It sounds like you are in worse shape than I was.

You can't regenerate the schedule, but you can manually add some games in order to even things out.

Off-topic, but thought I'd ask...
Say I'm running a fictional league in 1925 and I am using the All-American Mod for realistic names and ethnicities for that time period. Is there a way to change back to the game's defaults once my league hits around the time the color barrier was broken?

I tried that and simmed ahead like 25 years and everyone was still white with names like Tugg O'Flannery

Actually I tried it and the names are fixed. However, everyone is still caucasian, even guys named like Juan Rodriguez or something. No african-americans, no hispanics, just whiteys.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong with this second problem I'm having? Using the All-American mod for fictional historical play everything works fine. Then when I want to change to the modern settings once I reached the 40s and 50s I take everything out and put the regular names and ethnicities in. Then I re-import them into my universe.
The names change correctly, but everyone is still caucasian. Anyone know what's wrong and how to solve it?
