Game naturally created father and son duo?

Check this out...

Sixten Rothberg is not that common of a name... As you can see, Rothberg Sr. was 28 when Rothberg Jr. was born, an adequate age.

You may notice Rothberg Sr. is german, while Jr. is American, but get this... Sr. played most of the beggining of his career in Germany but was playing in the US in 2045...

Coincidence? It's a whole new level of awesome if this is actually coded into the game.

What an awesome easter egg if they are actually father/son. Would be cool to get a news story about "former big leaguer's son makes debut".

I have never had a father son duo in the majors at the same time.(not counting real ones) I did see the game created Pat Hentgen Jr as a SS but since I doubt Pat Hentgen has a jr I deleted him.

Remember when we could get married and have kids and if you had a son he could make it in the bigs?

Wow, now this is awesome. I've found two more!

I just made a player search for every Jr., and checked each one individually (the still active ones, anyway). I've also found Jrs. that do NOT have a baseball-playing Sr.

Except that my wife was not happy when my 14 year old had 3 kids.

I've seen Jr's before in my game but I have never taken the time to hunt down and see if there was a Sr. to go with them. Now I am going to have to do that.

I have been looking for this in the game since we moved from 6.5 to 7, the player would retire first and a Jr. would enter the draft. This is a amazing thing to find.

I do not like the idea of being a Grandfather any time soon.

Do you have delete if don't make majors on? That would explain some of them having fathers not making the pros and retiring.

Well the first 2 are father and son who are following the same career path and my first father and son I saw, Michael Tracys father was really bad and never made the majors was a minor league filler for me tho a few times and thats why he is a Jr.

I do, actually. Maybe that erased some, yes. But, is every Jr. in the game a re-used name of a retired player? I believe not.

If a Jr. is only avaible to the draft after the Sr. is retired, what happens if a guy retires due to injury at a young age and "his Jr." appears? The age difference has to be at least 20-something to pass the "eye test", I guess.

Much ado about nothing, I know. If this is actually prevalent and coded into the game, it's super awesome. Does anyone recall Markus saying something about this?

Well it depends I use Feeder leagues so I can see the player enter when he is 14 or something, I know its coded but I don't know how. For me its better that you have Delete on saves so much game space and you can make Jr. your self also. That jr. appearing after player retired was from a older version, They are much more realistic since.
