What did this guy do?

130 game suspension. Went to his history, nothing.

what in the world.......

is this in the MLB quickstart? or did something in the game actually cause him to be suspended for that long. I have never seen a suspension that long, but also since my league is only in the 1960s, I dont have drug-related suspensions enabled.

Don't know about it not showing up in the history, but it's too long to be a drug-related suspension according to current mlb rules.

Right now it's:
50 games for first offense
100 games for second offense
life-time ban for third offense

Wikipedia claims otherwise. They have it at 150 games for a second offense, but it's unsourced and I couldn't find anything to back it up.

Here's a recent article on ESPN about Selig wanting tougher punishments, which is as close as I could find. But it also reiterates that the current policy is 50/100/ban.

what about the news? do you save news reports? is there any thing there that says what happened? Suspensions I think always generate a news story to go along with it.

And I think drug suspensions also come with a massive hit to popularity, which he doesn't seem to have. Getting nailed with a drug suspension will lead to a guy being a hated figure.

Unless this player got caught with PEDs again after he was already suspended. Maybe that's possible in the game? Just a thought.

Texas Rangers teenager Jairo Beras will be suspended until July 1, 2013 - ESPN Dallas

He provided a false age when registering with major league baseball, so he was suspended for 1 year.

Came from the MLB quickstart. According to his stats he's never played a game at any level. He was released by Texas in July of 2013. No news involving him.

I'm still confused. His game is in June 8th 2014, according to his screenshot. And this suspension is going to take Beras all the way to October 16th, 2014.

If no one ever signed him, it wouldn't start counting down the games until he was assigned to a roster- so he will be suspended for 130 games forever.
