MLB Expansion,2013 and beyond?

I haven't bought the game as of yet, however I have this question.

If you take the 2013 MLB season and only expand in the AL (12 teams),what happen's too the schedule since there would be 27 teams in one league, while the other league would still have 15? Would there still be interleague games or would both leagues need to have the same amount of teams?

I'm not sure. In the leagues that I have played, one team was created in each the AL and NL when the league expanded. One division in each league is increased to 6 teams.

May be wrong, but I don't think OOTP can create interleague schedules yet.

It creates schedules with interleague games every season after 2013. Or am I misunderstanding what you and the OP mean by interleague schedules?

It's not creating a schedule though. It is simply using the actual 2013 schedule and rearranging things. The OP was asking about a league that consists of 27 teams in the AL and 15 in the NL. I'm pretty sure that would require a imported or self created schedule.

Interleague-AL team vs NL team.

There was talk(can't remember the thread name) that inter-conference schedules will be possible with FHM but what does that mean since the NHL is two conferences and has inter-conference games unless they were talking about fictional leagues?

I wasn't aware that subsequent seasons used the 2013 schedule and rearranges it. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm aware what interleague means. I wasn't sure if the OP meant a different kind of interleague schedule than what MLB uses now since he's talking about unbalanced leagues.

Not to nitpick, but I'm sure the 27 was a typo and was meant to be 17. Regardless, the same issue is still at hand.

I rarely do two team expansions.

The quickest way to answer your question would probably be to just create a test league and see what kind of schedule you get.
