Hometown-Does it matter when signing FA
I have a pitcher on another team that was just traded and is unhappy. I'm interested in signing him in the offseason and his hometown is geographically close to my team versus his present team.
Do players take hometown into consideration when signing? |

I don't think they do.. but maybe someone can confirm. At least I don't see it listed in the personality ratings. |

I thought Markus said he coded this is at some point in time. Maybe version 11?
My memory is weak of the subject. But I think it has to be the exact same town. So if for instance you have a team in Long Beach California and your player is from Torrance then it won't apply. Maybe someone else can clear it up. |

i also recall something about that in previous versions. but i thought it was more regionally speaking rather then city specific.

It is a small but not insignificant positive factor assuming player personality ratings are on.
