NCAA Feeder Question

Still relatively new to this awesome game.

I'm curious about the NCAA feeder add-ons.

1. How detailed/deep are the teams? Does it include every Division-I conference?

2. Are any of the players real?
2a. If some of the players are real, will there be any duplicates in the 2013 draft?

3. Does the "season" run during the real life college season?

4. Can you set up a true 64-team postseason tournament with super regionals and a College World Series?

5. Is it set up so that college careers only last 3-4 years?

6. How do you organize it into a current OOTP world?

Any help would be appreciated. I used to play Mogul, but OOTP blows it out of the water.

One more question. Where do the college players come from?

Welcome to ootp. I hope you enjoy your stay
1. Yes
2. Only a handful for now, but we're working hard on a Community NCAA project which will have all real 2013 players, real ratings, and stats.
2a. Yes but they are easily fixed.
3. Yes exactly. Feb. - May
4. No not currently, but close
5. You can control this through the age limits settings.
6. If you use the save game part, it's pretty much already organized for you.
Or you can put the included NCAA-OOTP.wtp file (Template) in your game's world_templates folder and add that to any OOTP world. To do so simply select league setup under advanced options in the League Menu dropdown. Then click the Template button on the bottom right and import it into your game.

You can follow the Community Roster Project here. We haven't done much in the past few weeks as there's only 2 of us currently and we are both beta testers and those duties come first.

2. As you can see in the community roster thread, we have 104 teams with full 35+ man rosters, real players, fully rated (though I'm planning on adjusting some of the ratings for the lower level guys, they're currently somewhat overrated, at least in comparison to the MLB roster set ratings. It's not a big deal, just something I'll get to eventually).

There are also a large amount of other real players in the db, but many of them are on teams that haven't been fully updated yet, especially in the HS league, D2, or JUCO's, even on quite a few D1 teams we haven't gotten to.

Still there's a TON, thousands, of real, fully rated players in the db, it will just take time on your part to get them setup into a format that you can actually use along with your MLB game.

The file, at its current state of development, is absolutely not plug and play!

Other than that, I think Rod fully answered your questions. Feel free to get in touch with either of us if you have any more!
