Going through the "bug" thread, and just generally perusing the forums, I realized again how the close, respectful interaction between the games designers and fans has led to OOTP becoming the premiere baseball sim of all time. The genius of the designers, the passion of the fan base, and the cooperation of both has led to a series that has no parallel.

Congratulations and many thanks to the OOTP team, for a game that has kept me entertained for thousands of hours over the last decade.

Kudos! I hope you all get rich from this!

I wish some of the cranks could read this but those people seem to have come and gone already, per their schedule. The game is not perfect, and I have complained loudly (or so I would like to believe

) about certain things, but when I think about other games of its type, past and present, this one is pretty darned good.

Seriously - I think back to Earl Weaver II on my roommates Mac back in 1990...and the Front Page Sports and LaRussa franchises. SO many bugs, but we enjoyed them (mostly) despite that.

Fast forward to today, where the errors we find are by and large so nitpicky in the grand scheme of things (like the wrong birthdate for a player, etc).....and yet the games creators listen and in most cases attempt to address the issues - frequent patches through the year while steadfastly working on the next version.

We have it good, baseball simmers. The OOTP community has it very, very good.

This is my second year with OOTP. I wish I would have found it years ago. My wife never needed to ask in February what I wanted for my birthday. It was always MLB the show. Now that I have OOTP, the Show is an after thought. I hardly touch my PS3 anymore.

The community and staff support here are top notch. Enough praise cannot be said about this game.
