Stuck on "You have received a person message!" pop-up.

I imported a game from OOTP 13 yesterday and got through a season without any hiccups but in the playoffs, this happened. I got the pop-up telling me I have a message and I can't select OK. Nothing happens. It just stays there and I can't do anything so I have to just end the OOTP process. I did this and reloaded my game and played through the playoffs (lost in game 7 of the final... ) but now I'm in the offseason and this happened again. Anybody else have this issue? I took a screenshot of it too.

I have latest version and stuck same way???

Hit ESC and it should take you out of the dialog box, I believe. That's what worked for me before.

if it doesn't, spam the hell out of the keyboard, lol. I did that and it got out of it somehow

Hey Guys,

Could I impose on both of you to ftp (upload) your league files to us? If yes, please zip your .dat files (no folders needed) and upload them to us via our ftp server. It may go a long way towards finding the cause of this issue and fixing it. Also, it may go a long way towards helping us find the cause to the disturbing bug that gehrig38 is having and fixing it too.

Would love to - but I just killed OOTP - luckily for me it occurred right after I had saved the game - I lost one day. Next time it happens I will send files to you...

I apologize for the lack of contribution of this reply. But do you have a quickstart available for that league? Looks like it would be fun to mess with haha

For OP, disable the pop-up blocker in your default web browser and see if that helps with the problem. I did this a few versions ago (11 maybe?) and it worked wonders. Now I don't get that "hang" or freeze that occurs with the pop-up messages. This may not help at all, but it worked for me when I had this problem years ago.

Sorry but I lost it all about a month ago with the rest of my hard drive. It was an awesome league. My girlfriend helped me come up with the idea and she made logos and uniforms for all the teams too. It was really fun taking over the Seattle Scyther and winning the PokeSeries after a 20 year playoff drought.
