Request: injury options
After three early season season-long injuries to my at-the-time-starting RF, I hope the developers change the injury choice from on-off, and allow the player to accept or reject each injury.
(To clarify, my RF, then his replacement, then HIS replacement were out for the season) If that accept/reject idea is not approved, how about in addition to on/off we have at least one middle-ground choice that eliminates long-term injuries. Gamers (and game buyers) should have choices. If the main point of playing a particular season is to watch one player, this option could save us a lot of grief. I like the idea of occasionally having to call up a minor leaguer ahead of prime time, but the fun is gone with too many severe injuries. I know from other threads that other players have had their teams crippled on occasion. I cannot (pending replies) see anything wrong with the accept/reject option. I believe there was talk of setting the injury for off and then intervals building up to full.

Until then here is a mod I made a couple years back that reduces the length of injuries in the game. I have removed all injuries that last longer than 60 days. This does not effect the frequency of how often injuries occur, just the minimum and maximum length of time the injury will affect the player.

Is there a way to mod the country list so you could pick what countries the players are chosen? I would like to create a fictional league with only European countries or Caribbean countries. I'm fairly computer literate.

Injuries are a big part of sports. You can disable them, maybe I can add a setting to allow the change of injury frequency but "accepting" injuries will not be an option, sorry.

Yes, injuries are a big part of sports -- but you allow them to be turned off completely, so why not allow them to be selectively turned off?
An accept/decline option would be closer to reality than "off." Imagine wanting to play 1972 to see whether Steve Carlton can equal his real life performance, and then having him injured in May and out for five months. The only times I have been so annoyed as to abandon a season and give up the game for a while have been three excessively long injuries at one position. But it is your decision, not mine. |

I don't think that the accepting an injury is a good idea, but having like an average range of injury length to select would be better
