Lots to love...

But the art for the announcer got way worse. I have had to turn it off because it is so ugly.

And test-to-speech doesn't seem to do anything.

I love the new interface and fonts! Very easy to read and use. Loving the game so far, but I have the same problem I had last year when I imported my online league from 12 to 13: the players' ratings did not update. The international complexes imported correctly, and I will have to change some of the minor league affiliates' names to their 2013 names. But, I am facing quite a few hours of work to get the players' ratings updated. Does anyone know of a quick way or even a semi-quick way to get the ratings updated? Thanks in advance.

Player ratings should not change when a league is imported, that is intentional. If you want updated real 2013 ratings for a major league game, you can use the "export ratings" function in the league setup (bottom "import / export" menu) in a major league game and import the resulting file into your 2012 league. That would work I suppose.

Ah, gotcha. Well, where is the "export ratings" function located? In "League Setup", I see import/export functions for rosters, stats, league structure, and world data but not for ratings.

Did not like the OOTP13 graphics, but eventually I got used to them.

The 14 graphics are outstanding. Great job. The only thing I don't like is the grassy background on the home-screen and various pages throughout the game. I'm sure there is a way to change this texture though?

Game looks great. Just simming through the first season, and 53 games in Ben Revere was leading the league in BA and SB, then suddenly didn't have a team. Stopped the sim to see what happened, and he had tore his shoulder up so bad that he will never play baseball again. I always hate to see players go down, but a really bad break for the Phillies always makes my heart smile.

The roster export includes the ratings.

If anyone wants to run a long-term sim to test out the aging/development modifiers please feel free. They may very well work differently in this version with the new development engine. I would do it myself but I usually always wait a couple months before purchasing the new version so any bugs etc can be taken out.

I agree about the grass background. Everything else is superb! To change the grass background, find another picture and save it as: background.png Then download the skin files through Add-On Central. Install them. Then locate the skin files in the OOTP Developments folder under c:/Program Files. Replace the background.png in each of the skin folders with your replacement photo. Be sure to delete this file: skin.bin. Then restart OOTP14.

The skin.bin file must be deleted too, otherwise the game will not rebuild the skin.
