Mod folder for MacBook Pro?

Real quick.....before I left my house, I was going to copy and paste over some parks from my ootp 13 folder. There was no ootp 14 folder in my ootp developments folder in my documents folder. Is it defaulting somewhere else? I just got this Mac about a month ago, I assumed it would default to where ootp 13 did.

I am sorry, we had to change the folders concept because Apple told us that we must not save anything in the user's documents folder. The documents folder is meant only for files which the user explicitely saves there, they say. Last year we had two versions: our version saved the data in /documents and the app store version saved the data in /application support. Obviously using different folders made things difficult for our tech support so we decided to follow the Apple guidelines with all versions this year.

The data is saved in /Users/<your name>/Library/Application Support/OOTP....

BTW you can easily find the folder with OOTP's help. On the main screen, click on "Import OOTP 13 League". In the select file dialog menu, click on "Favorites", then on any folder, for example "Saved games". OOTP will open that folder in the select file dialog. Now click on the menu button "Open". Voilá!

I found it it's in the "Library" folder. From there, go to the applications data folder (or something like that.

On Mac OSC 10.8 you can access the Librabry folder by holding the ALT-key when clicking on "Go to" in the top menu of the Finder.

Seriously, Apple is turning OSX into some sort of iOS crap where you cannot easily access your data, it's really crap

The quickest way to the hidden library folder is while in Finder to select the go menu while holding the Option/Alt Key. Library will appear as a destination.

No need to be sorry. Thanks for answering!

Don't stop making the game for macs though. I would not have switched over to a Mac had this game not been available! I guess I should just leave the default folder, and not change it to a custom one in my documents? Can that cause issues in patches later on?

Using the default folders is always the easiest and safest way to go. But patches should also work with custom setups. As long as you know what you're doing, all is well

I'm new to the Mac world too, I found my files by following the advice in this thread, but now I have a Mac question. Can I "bookmark" or "hotkey" the OOTP14 file path so I don't have to keep digging to find it?

Gospel... That's for sure...

What I like to do is find the folder and make an alias of it and then move the alias where ever I keep the game (in my case in a OOTP 14 folder in a games folder). Clicking on the alias opens that folder with all the items within - handy for adding artwork!!!
