Rule 5 problems...
Any chance the Rule 5 problems are fixed in version 14?

The thing I've noticed (fictional league, standard modern settings) is that players who have more than 6/7 years of professional experience are shown as eligible.
Here's an old thread where it was brought up: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...e-5-draft.html LGO mentioned that real life eligibility rules can allow this to happen in some circumstances, but it ultimately wasn't clear whether in OOTP this is actually a bug or a feature (seems to me that too many older players are eligible for OOTP to be mimicking real life rules, but I didn't look to closely after LGO posted his note).

That isn't the problem I was referring to.
During a Rule 5 Draft the same player will get drafter by team after team after team... round after round after round. You go into the transactions for that player and you will see he has been taken in the Rule 5 draft 20 times or more. This happens every time for multiple players. |

In many dozens of rule 5 drafts, I've never seen this. Whatever the problem is, it doesn't happen "every time".

I can't even get a guy drafted in the thing. My league has had the Rule 5 draft for about 20 years, and I am the only team that has used it.

In my online league we had a team; Team A draft 8 Rule 5 players. He then waived them in the spring, and unbeknownest to the league teams grabbed these youngsters up only to learn they are Rule 5 and have to be on the big league roster. So having discovered this the new claiming team(s) waived them as well.
What i'd like to see is once a claimed Rule 5 player is waived, a designation or symbol of some sort should appear by their names on the waiver wire screen so they're easily identified. *sorry for the thread jack |

Huh... I wonder what the difference is. I have gone through four Rule 5s and this has happened to me every time.
