Sim to next baserunner?

I like to play out many of my games, but I wish there were more granularity in the "sim to..." options. (Mind you, I have OOTP 2011 and 2012, but not 2013, so maybe I'm out to lunch.) Will OOTP 14 let me "sim to next baserunner," or "sim to next run scored", or some such? It'd be nice to be able to intervene to yank the pitcher when I want to yank the pitcher. All too often, I sim a half-inning, and I'm chagrined to see that the AI left the pitcher in too long.

I know I can control this to some extent with the "hook" settings, but it'd be nice to have "sim to next bad event" for greater control. Not a deal-killer for me, as I plan to buy OOTP 14 in any case, but if something like this feature will be in OOTP 14, I will open my wallet faster.

Not sure if your versions have this, but 13 has "until RISP" (runners in scoring position). This helps, but you can still roll right past someone giving up back-to-back homers. I also wish it would stop on an injury.

You can control this in your manager settings.

This is a good point. Can we get Sim to RISP to be sim to RISP OR a score change? Seems like a score change is a good time to let the user intervene if they so choose.

Excellent suggestion. I'm not complaining about it, because it is rare, but I have seen as many as FIVE runs go up without a pause in simulation. Two homers with men on first base that are preceded by, followed by, or sandwiching a solo blast, as I recall.

Oh wow, I don't have sim-to-RISP -- that alone is enough to make me get out my wallet now! A big improvement.

But yes, another useful option would be sim-to-next-run-scored. Or, as I suggested, sim-to-next-baserunner. I can't imagine either would be that hard to code, would it?

So do we have to DO something to ensure that this gets raised to Markus's attention or is this thread enough?

To be clear, my suggestion would be that Sim to RISP (and Sim to On-Base, if it's implemented) both halt the sim if a run is scored.

I fear, Mr. B., that it's too late for 14 unless it comes in a patch. I would populate an OOTP 15 suggestion thread with it, if it is.

I fear you're right. "Hop hop, Mr. B! No time to waste!"
