OOTP14 in Mac App Store

How soon after release will OOTP14 be available in the mac app store?

Depends on Apple, I believe. Same with most things having to do with the App Store version.

I don't buy OOTP from the app store, primarily because I don't have a MAC.

But I've also seen posts here in the forums about a caveat of buying from the app store; Seems to me there was a lot of discussion, and complaints, last year with version 13 where OOTPD would release a patch for the game but those who bought from the app store had to wait quite awhile for Apple to approve/post the patch there. If you buy the game from the OOTP website you will have access to patches as soon as they are released. If you buy from the app store you will have the added delay while Apple makes it available for download.

Maybe things will be different this year but, personally, I'd just buy it directly from the source.

This is a major reason for not buying from the Apple store. Also, Apple doesn't allow the use of the real team names, so once you purchase the game in the app store, you'll have to spend some time changing the team names.

Unless you have an Apple gift card and cannot afford to purchase for the game directly from the OOTP website, I would strongly urge you not to purchase the game from Apple.
