Question about OOTP14 Line up options
Hello, I was just wonderingif in OOTP 14 I’ll be able to bat a pitcher anywhere other than 9thslot in the order. In my dynasty I play Babe Ruth as both a SP and as a LF. Idon’t want him batting 9th when he pitches, and the only work aroundfor this issue is to put a positionplayer whom I want to bat 9th in as the pitcher then after the gamestarts change the positions of the players to suit my needs. Which is a cosmetic fix. There is one MAJORissue with this however…Ruth doesn’t get credit for the start the position playerused as a “Pawn” gets the credit. So even if Ruth goes the distance he getscredit for neither a start or a complete game. I realize that maybe this is anisolated incident but there may be others who for various reasons would like tobat the Pitcher some place other than 9th in the order. Thanks pain

You can bat the pitcher anywhere you want in OOTP 13. Don't know why you can't. In the opening lineup screen just drag the position player to the 9th spot and leave the spot he vacated blank and start the game. The pitcher will automatically fill the open spot in the lineup.
Edit: Just to be clear set your lineup with players batting where you want leaving the 3rd or 4th slot (I assume for Ruth) empty. Make sure Ruth is in the starting pitcher slot on the lower right of screen. Start game and Ruth will bat in the open slot. Last edited by DCG12; 03-31-2013 at 03:41 PM. |

Yeah Pain i have Babe in 1916 and he bats 5th. I myself bat 3rd in one league 6th in another when i pitch.
I havent tried this so i dont know if it if possible but would like to be able to bat a pitcher other then 9th using 7 day lineups under strict rotation. Last edited by The Game; 03-31-2013 at 09:24 PM. |
