development check box

idea that i would love in the games is a check box on each players main page that if checked means you want development to apply for that player

at the start of any game it follows the set up, so a fictional league and box checked has all boxes checked for developement, but if i bring in a few historical players, then i could manually uncheck their boxes to have no develpment
or the reverse in a historical league, all boxes are unchecked, but if i brought in a fictional player i could check his box, so he develops while the rest of the league does not

just because i bring in many historical players into fictional leagues

Not a terrible idea, but I think it would be a bear for the development engine to handle.

Development and aging are two parts of a whole feature. Would you not create an imbalance if you stopped one and not the other?

Well, I think what he means is that he wants to be able to make the historical players develop via recalc settings, but use the player development engine for all the fictional guys. I've always understood the two to be mutually exclusive.

There is no development via recalc either. Ratings are pre-ordained by season and do not fluctuate like players under the development/aging curve. So my comment stands even though it doesn't mean much.

Not develop via recalc but ratings change via recalc. You could call it develop since that is what they are doing just by a different engine
