Non-Historical [0.9.9] - Editing Attributes
When editing attributes and potentials, changes make little to no difference in the number of stars the player has. You can give a player 1000 offensive potential and 1000 defensive potential, and their potential according to the star system is still the same as it was before you make the edit.
This holds true for attributes as well. You can max a players attributes but their star remains the same as it was prior to the edit. |

I suspect that this may have to do with scouting. If scouting is turned on, any changes made to a player will only be reflected in the star ratings once the player is re-scouted. If scouting is turned off, then the changes are reflected instantly.

Can you even turn scouting off at this point?

In previous betas it had immediate impact on the star values without changing any scouting settings though
