Player pics with back of jerseys

Was messing with the player pics and would love if there could be some jersey templates designed and would automatically update (like facegen) to reflect the player name and number. (see screens)

Football manager implemented it this year. would love it!

That would be great. It's a shame that on FM it's only for Classic mode and not regular mode as I love the shirts with numbers and name on the back showing.

came up with a crude photoshop template for the Bruins. IT would be A LOT of manual work to keep up with roster changes I suppose. and also a lot of intial work to get all the team templates set up and then each player created.

would be nice to have some automated process. I always thought this would e a great alternative for OOTP, but would look even better for this game

What would we need?

Basically we would use one team color as background and the other for the number/name (with a white outline)?

basically, yes. But I would prefer using up to three colors for the numbers and letters. Main color + two outlines.

Also, it would be great to be able to use different fonts as I happen to have most NHL team fonts, it could accurately represent the team's uni (or at least come close)

Take for example the number of the Colorado Avalanche:

someone had a link to a program that did that using text files and created it. I'll try and find it but that would be amazing

Pretty cool. Prefer player pics myself, but still, pretty cool indeed.

Somebody on The Blue Line wrote a tool that did the exact same thing for EHM using the NHL jersey designs. If I can create a list of all players in the NHL and what team they're contracted to, I should be able to generate jersey images for all players. It would only take ten minutes or so. If I have time, I'll take a look this week.

They'd look like this:

If team colour settings were added to the DB then I guess this would make things more feasible. I'd really like to see primary, secondary and tertiary colour settings in the DB - not just for jersey designs but so that every team can benefit from the coloured UI in the game (currently only the NHL teams benefit from this).

This is a fantastic 'alternative' to facegens.. Would be great if we could implement this into version 1 of FHM..

Although, and I'm sure most of you agree, facegens would be the ideal way to go. If somehow we can get the facegens just like OOTP (minus the baseball caps), that would be terrific.

Thanks for the preview Silva, I would definately download those..

Also, I've made facegens in the past using that program with the SI watermark on the forehead. It's super easy to use. If the SI watermark is the problem then perhaps we can donate some cash and get the full version of it. If we can 100 people to do so it wouldn't cost us much at all.

That Crosby looks pretty legit: put a penguins jersey on him and that'd be a winner!
