Funny off-field injuries

What's the funniest you've seen? This is my #2 all-time favorite behind Brandon Phillips getting hurt while caring for his horses on his farm.

Best one

Saw a 23 year old up and comer goin hired in a wicked lawn mower accident in the offseason. Turns out he was trying to unclog his mower or something and got his hand in the blades. 3 severed fingers. His wife rushed him to the nearest hospital. Days went on and the story continued. They ended up saving 2 of the fingers, but one was lost. He decided he would continue to rehab and keep his career going. Forgot to keep track of him to see how he progressed

Charlie Hough and Phil Niekro REALLY both suffered hand injuries from shaking hands (not with each other).

Roger Metzger REALLY cut parts of four fingers off with a table saw.

Curt Simmons REALLY cut off most of his left big toe in a lawnmower accident.

Barry Bonds was beat up by his girlfriend. I know I saved a screenshot of that someplace.

Bret Barbarie of the Marlins missed a game because he was cutting jalapenos for nachos with his bare hands and then tried to put his contacts in before the game.

Shark attack in the offseason.
