talent distribution amongst field players
Apologies if this has been answered in other threads.
I'm on a long-term fictional league save (around year 2060), and one issue that has developed over time is a seemingly highly skewed distribution of talent amongst field players. Basically, a huge majority of the talent being generated through the draft or international scouting is in the outfield positions. If I take a look at the Top Players and Top Prospects list around 75-80% of the players are in the outfield, with a few first baseman (typically outfielders that learned the position) and catchers thrown in. The infield positions seem to be getting no love basically. Has anyone seen this? If so, any idea what might be causing this or how to change this? My only thoughts are that I have the "Overall ratings based on all players, not positions" option checked off. But surely that wouldn't change the fact that highly talented infielders should be generated? |

I have seen just the opposite. I have a fictional league in the 2046 season dominated by infielders. Nearly every team has a power hitting 2B or SS batting third or fourth in the lineup. The hitting poor position is CF where I have lots of great defenders but very few decent hitters. The prospects chart is dominated by infielders.
