Coalition of Baseball Nations Quickstart
First time I've tried to upload one so if there are problems let me know (and probably let me know how to fix them).
Coalition of Baseball Nations -by far the most important league in the sporting universe in 2070. -established in 2028 -made up of 28 teams across the globe, many of which used to be clubs that participated in other sports before baseball become such a global phenomenon in the early 2020s -4 divisions of 7 teams each (all teams in universe have logos, correct cities, and correct park names, and I'd wager about 25-33% have full uniforms thanks to so many of the great community members work). -every team must have 10 players from their home nation on their team -78 game season, only division winners make playoffs -nation quality is scaled according to current global performance per capita (factors in international competition quality these last 4 years plus numbers of pro players produced in the richest 16 leagues). many nations rate as excellent (Spain, England, Paraguay, Mexico, Scotland, USA, Sweden, Swiss, etc) -market size and fan loyalty was matched roughly with city population at beginning of league and has evolved (Malmo still a brutally tiny market) -budgets range from $70 mil (Malmo) to $220 mil (Bayern Munich). Europe Manchester United (.561, 11 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) Bayern Munich (.554, 12 division titles, 3 CBN Cups) Paris Saint Germain (.533 career win %, 7 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) FC Barcelona (.521, 4 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) Liverpool Reds (.489, 2 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) Borussia Dortmund (.483, 2 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) Ajax Amsterdam (.469, 4 division titles, 0 CBN Cups) Nordic Asia Hanshin Tigers (Japan) (.545, 12 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) Yomiuri Giants (Japan) (.541, 13 division titles, 3 CBN Cups) Guangzhou Evergrande (.501, 3 division titles, 0 CBN Cups) Spartak Moscow (.500, 6 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) Zenit Saint Petersburg (.480, 7 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) Kia Tigers (South Korea) (.454, 1 division title, 0 CBN Cups) Malmo Sky Blues (Sweden) (.369, 0 division titles, 0 CBN Cups) Southern Hemisphere Sydney Blue Sox (.496, 8 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) Santa Cruz (Brazil) (.489, 7 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) Atletico Penarol (Uruguay) (.485, 11 division titles, 5 CBN Cups) New Zealand All Blacks (.479, 5 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) River Plate (Argentina) (.468, 4 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) Perth Heat (.419, 4 division titles, 0 CBN Cups) Kaizer Chiefs (South Africa) (.412, 3 division titles, 0 CBN Cups) North America New York Yankees (.572, 10 division titles, 3 CBN Cups) Philadelphia Phillies (.560, 13 division titles, 5 CBN Cups) Boston Red Sox (.549, 6 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) Montreal Canadians (.544, 8 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) Los Angeles Dodgers (.528, 0 division titles, 0 CBN Cups) Toronto Maple Leafs (.505, 2 division titles, 1 CBN Cup) Chivas de Guadalajara (.496, 3 division titles, 2 CBN Cups) Malmo is clearly the toughest spot to be in but the Dodgers would be a fun team to take over and take to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. A very hard division too. There are also 6 independent leagues underneath the CBN, all have been running since 2052 (18 years). -most mandate 5 players from the teams nation, some mandate 10 -most draft pools are created from only teams countries (obviously you can change this if you want) -80 to 90 game seasons -no associations set up yet, but I plan to set a few up in coming years (N American/South American association one for sure) Africa (4 team league)-Accra Hearts of Oak, AFC Leopards (Kenya), ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Orlando Pirates (South Africa). Pretty competitive league, with every team having at least 3 titles. budgets range from $5.2 mil to $6.1 mil. Asia/Oceania (12 teams)-dominated by the Yakult Swallows (Tokyo) and the Beijing Ducks who have combined for 12 of the 18 titles. Shanghai Shawks also a power. Nippon Ham Fighters (JPN), Hiroshima Carp (JPN), Kolkata Knight Riders (India), Lotte Giants (S Korea), Brisbane Bandits (AUS), Canberra Cavalry (AUS), Adelaide Bite (AUS), Uni-President Lions (TAI), and Canterbury Wizards (NZL) round out the league. 5 teams have never made Asian Cup. Budgets range from $17 mil (Uni-President) to $64 mil (Yakult). Caribbean (4)-Havana Industriales, Aguilas Cibaenas (DOM), and 2 Mexican teams Delfines de Ciudad del Carmen and Sultanes de Monterrey have been part of a competitive league. budgets range from $10.5 mil to $19 mil. Europe (16)-teams spread throughout Europe. Galatasaray (Turkey) and Arsenal (England) have dominated. GBA Celtic (Scotland) and Olympique Lyon (France) have been the bottom feeders. budgets range from $17 mil (BC Bratislava in Slovakia) to $40 million (Arsenal). USA and Canada (16)-the biggest independent league by far. Mets have made playoffs 16/18 years with 8 titles, Dodgers 11/18 with 3 titles. St. Louis Cardinals only team to not make playoffs. Quebec Nordiques only Canadian team to win title. lowest budgets are above $30 mil and range to $70 million (LA Lakers/Cubs/Mets). South America (6)-Boca Juniors (ARG) and Corinthians (BRA) have each made over half the playoffs. Potros de Medellin (COL) and Club Olimpia (PAR) only made 1/18 playoffs. budgets range from $1.4 mil (Medellin) to $12.3 mil (Boca Juniors). ask me any questions if you want to know any more CBN.quick.zip and once again thanks so much to everyone who posts here and makes uniforms, etc, especially eriqjaffe, ry1220, and gern44.
