Combining Simcity 4 and OOTP

What I am going to do is create a re-creation of the US and Canada on Simcity4. I have created a region roughly similar to the US and Canada with all cities that have a Major League team including the NHL, NFL, and NBA. Plus medium cities with all NCAA Div 1 teams. For OOTP I am going to use in-game images of the ballparks for viewing my baseball universe all the way from High School to the pro's. This will be one helluva undertaking because I am just getting started terraforming my SC4 game. I have plenty of stadiums so it won't get to monotonous. If you guys have any ideas you would like to see me try hit me up on here. I hope to get started with the game soon.

That'll be a really intense undertaking, especially if you're trying to recreate their states or provinces and everything in them. If you ever manage it, I will applaud.

Thank you. I have started it once but was not happy with how my US looked. I am trying it again lol.

Well I am going to grow my leagues if that makes any sense. Basically I am going to start in 1800 with New England High Schools (each state will have from 16 to 60 HS teams depending on size and number of major cities) around 1840 Colleges will start to realize they have something and in 1871 business owners will start the NL and we will be off. I basically want to get some good stats built up and talent built up (70 years should do it lol). Well I got to to. Got to keep terraforming the east coast lol.

Please post the Sim City 4 screenshots occasionally. The largest region that I ever did (not in population) was Buffalo, NY. That region is just over a million and I haven't touched it in awhile.

What Mods are you using?

Pegrod Super theme pack?

RHW transporation mod?

Farm mods?

I can't wait to see this. Don't rush it. This is going to be your life's work if you are serious. I always wanted to mix Railroad Tycoon II with Sim City 4 with OOTP. I'm really glad someone has the ambition to get this started.

Good luck...I'll be watching.

I appreciate it Honorable. I am not really going for accuracy because the region would be waaaay to big. Pretty much it was be a graphical representation of the US. The only mods I am using are a bus stop mod and all the stadiums I can find (which isn't a whole lot). I downloaded SC4 mapper and SC4 terraformer but neither will work for me because the region is just way to big. I may need more RAM lol. If you have mapper or terraformer I would be happy to e-mail you my bitmap and show you what I am trying to do. I am currently terraforming it map by map and it is really really slow going lol.

I have done this as I created a full island nation with 10 stadiums, colleges and high schools. It has taken 3 years for me to fully develop the nation and I am now starting a new league and putting it together!

What stadiums do you have?

Will you have historical development (not sure what the term is, but will teams like the Sox and Braves debute as the same IRL?)turned on? And will you be playing with real players from 1900ish on?

Well I downloaded Safeco field but I dont think I am going to use it because you can not see all of the field. I downloaded all of the stadiums from STEX. Alot of them look more AAA level but I want to use them so you can see the background and gives the stadiums more of an individual feel.

I am going to have the teams develop (i.e. the Braves move from Boston, Milwaukee, to Atlanta when they do in real life) as they did in real life. Players will be fictional because I love the scouting process and taking chances on draft picks etc.

By the way sorry I havent been around for a few day. I just got married on Saturday so been a little busy lol.

Hey guys just wanted to give you guys an update. Not much has been going on with my league lately. I couldn't say anything before because of OPSEC but I am now in Afghanistan. I have been creating my own logos and jerseys in my downtime because that won't kill my battery on my computer as fast as running a game would. I am stuck in Kandahar as of right now and when I get to my FOB I will have my own power source (I hope) and will be able to work more on my project. But anyway that is all for now. Talk to you guys soon.
