Caught between heaven and hell
Here I am again, caught between heaven and hell. It happens every calendar year as I am able to gradually upgrade to the newest version of OOTP.
As soon as the OOTP version 13 was released, I started browsing around and exploring. It took a while to free up enough time to start a huge solo league with 30 years of complete history. But when I did, I was pleasantly surprised. As I started using OOTP 13, I started thinking to myself "if this isn't the best upgrade I've ever received from the developers, it is within the top few!". That is where the heaven and hell part comes in. I have been playing version 13 for almost a half a year. I like it so much that I want to leave that obsolete version 12 in the dust. But my long-lasting online leagues had not yet converted to version 13. I had two online leagues operating under OOTP 12 (which I prefer for stability until all the patches have been released). I have had a taste of heaven, but need to endure the bitter taste of the obsolete version. Now, one of my online leagues is starting the upcoming season in OOTP 13! This is excellent. But my other online league will not upgrade until our current season has been completed ![]() So, here I am playing my online league in the obsolete version 12 but I know what version 13 is like and never want to look back. If you are holding out to upgrade to version 13, I believe you are cheating yourself. This OOTP 13 upgrade was worth every bit of the money; and then some, in my opinion. Apologies to anyone offended by religious references. All such references were in jest and not intended to insult or degrade any one's religious beliefs or any religious entities. But that's true for an early adopter of pretty much anything. You could rush out and buy an iPhone 5 today, or you could wait until later and the price has dropped.

With 12 I didn't upgrade until This time last yr. With 13 I bought it the day it came out after the Preorder people got it. 13 is so much better then 12. I prefer 11 vs 12.

Call me a fool. But I bite on the pre-order discount every time. I don't feel cheated a bit.
