Honolulu Team Name Ideas?

Any ideas for naming a team in Honolulu? Please, nothing overly generic. Examples...Sharks, Surfers, Palms.

What do you mean by generic? All names are essentially generic. Here's my suggestions anyway:

Islanders
Morays
Swell
Turtles
Seagulls

I think by generic he means something more specific to Hawaii.

Honolulu Mini-subs
Hawaiian King Kamehamehas
Hawaiian Five-Ohs
and there's all the place names that I have no idea what they mean (like Molokai) and words, like Mana (power).

I think a research trip to Hawaii is in order.

I followed pro wrestling as a kid and this just came to me

The Oahu McDaniels

If you don't need it explained, I think it is an instant keeper.

Cheers.

Pacifics. There's a nice logo set for them.

Hawaii Islanders (MiLB) and Honolulu Sharks (Winter ball) were real teams a few years back.

Hawaii Hammerheads was another real one for a football team that has a nice ring to it.

Billabong Odyssey

Billabong Odyssey (2003) - IMDb

Quote:
Big wave surfers Who's Who in this documentary that is very informative of how surfing has evolved since the 60's with the advent of the jet ski to help catch 40 to 50 plus feet waves.

The movie begins and ends with the footage of Mike Parsons' ride (shot from the beginning where his partner's jet ski pulls him onto the very beginning of the sea swell before it rises high above the cameraman) on what will be a very large wave at Jaws in Hawaii. Forty-five feet high at least. Who ever was holding the camera for this shot filmed a classic and there are many classic shots of surf riding.

It was a treat to see this footage twice in the movie, at both ends.

Here are some ideas...

-Honolulu Skyliners (City has a massive skyline with 470 highrises, 4th only to New York, Chicago and L.A.)
-Honolulu Polynesians (First settlers in the area.)
-Honolulu Merchants (Focal point for merchant ships traveling between North America and Asia.)
-Honolulu Alohas (Popular greeting.)
-Honolulu Diamonds (Dimond Head is the iconic crater that overlooks the city.)
-Honolulu Volcanoes or Palisades (City overlooked by a large crater.)
-Honolulu Voyagers (City attracts tourists.)
-Honolulu Hummers (There are no Hummimgbirds in Hawaii, but like the sound of the name.)
