how to view images directory in skin folder?

I want to change the default player picture and according to the manual I need to make changes to the image directory in the skin folder... Then issue I am having is I can't seem to see the images directory in the skin folder.

When i open the skin folder the only things i see are
defaults.cfg
skin (which doesn't seem to be openable)

any suggestions?

Use the Add-On Central function and download the skin or skins you're interested in modifying. Then choose Install from the same menu, so the files go to the necessary directory. It'll tell you where it put them.
