More Baseball Heads To Canada!

January 1, 2012:

MLB Commissioner Bud Selig announced today that the league would be expanding by two more teams in this upcoming season. This headlined a slew of changes in the new CBA. The new teams would be located in Canada. In the National League, the Expos would return to Montreal and the MLB, as commisioner decided that with new stable ownership and a new stadium in the works. The real shocker was in the American League where the small city of Niagara Falls was awarded a team. Niagara Falls while having a small population, has a large surrounding area of rabid baseball fans on both the Candian and US sides and attracts millions of people per year to its various attractions.

This would lead to the following divison changes:

Montreal goes to the NL East. Old Expos vs. New Expos, plus a lot of old rivalries get rekindled.

Houston gets fast tracked to the AL West

Niagara Falls goes to the AL East. A monumenteal task to win against the powerhouse East, but a Candian rivalry with the Blue Jays will be fun to watch!
