My name is Barrett Robbins and I'm a ...

FREAKING MORON!

Granted I don't know the whole story, but how could the guy miss the last team meeting before the Super Bowl? Now, he's sitting at home watching his team lose without him.

There might be more to it as they have said he is not home, but rather at a local hospital (in San Diego).

I'm not sure if I have the whole story... I've heard he missed the Raiders final meeting prior to the game, and becuase of that he was told to go home.

I'm not sure on NFL or Raider policy... but why would you send your Pro Bowl / Starting center home just before the Super Bowl? It's the biggest game of year!!! Is this a rule that is inforced 100%, or is it set down by the league?

I would say it's a team rule. They're saying they didn't hear from him for 2 days and his wife had no idea where he was. And they're saying he's at a local hospital. I'm thinking there maybe some sort of foul play involved.

Yeah, I also heard that he is at a local hospital... If it was a team rule, I admire the coach for being that strong of a coach. But I have the feeling, that it may be more than just a matter of Robbins missing the meeting.

Stanley Wilson's cocaine relapse before the 1988 SuperBowl, the Falcon's player who hit the Red Light District before their 1998 defeat. Any other's I'm missing? History has frowned on teams who suffered these kind of distractions.

If he's not at a hospital (they're still not sure) and it is something caused by his own stupidity, then kudos to the Raiders for their stance in such a critical game... "No player is bigger than the interest of the team"

Eugene Robinson got busted a few years back for trying to solicit sex from on uncover police officer. He was also considered a team leader and was a "devout christian". Surely had to be a distraction although Robinson did play in the game.

From ESPN.com

According to a spokeswoman for the five Scripps hospitals in the San Diego area, including one in LaJolla, where the Raiders are staying, Robbins is not and has not been a patient. And a check of all local hospitals by ESPN did not find Robbins checked in as a patient.
Or maybe not

Local news out of Oakland is reporting Robbins was arrested in Tijuana, Mexico

And yeah, if you've spent any time in a Mexican prison, you would WANT to go to a hospital. Guaranteed he walked out of there with a smaller wallet, and larger *******.

The players sure don't like him anymore. Frank Middleton said that if Robbins is back, then he will not be back. And Mo Collins said something like, he should stay under the rock that he is in for all I am concerned.

Why would you go to TiJuana?
I mean youve got a super bowl bonus,
youve got one more game and its a just have a good time game.
(pro bowl)
You make enough money to catch a flight to mexico any time you want.
How can anyone be that stupid.

If he was with some mexican senorita then his wife will probably be upset with him too.

Now i dont wish the guy would hurt himself but with depression,
unless he turns his life around im afraid that in a year he will probably have committed suicide.
Now dont take that the wrong way. As mad as i am at him i still realize hes a human being and i dont wish it but thats my gut feeling.
Remember Donnie Moore?

How could he redeem his career for this?
The Raiders dont want him back and what team wants a player that puts a good time before the good of the team.
If your good enough to handle partying all-bnight (Max McGee & John Matuszak) fine but if you cant handle it dont do it.

Tijuana is just a sneeze away from San Diego. Alot of people just hop down there to party and nail some dirty, cheap whores.

I've been there once, but never again. The place should be flattened with bombs, IMO.
