Help!,,,,
2 things: is it best too leave a 19 year old like Machado or Bundy in the minors for a few years or too start them out in the majors????
And 2: I keep seein people talkin bout work ethic but I can't find that attribute anywhere, is it not in this version??? |

Until a better answer comes along, Jett27, here is one player's opinion, based on iOOTP11:
Do not call up that young a player unless his overall rating suggests that he can perform at a major league level. Every gamer probably has a slightly different idea of what that number might be, and you should probably factor in the overall ratings of your current players, especially those with the same position as the young player. The laptop version of the game is far more complex than iOOTP, and tells you a lot about a player's work ethic (and greed, and other factors). It is possible that iOOTP players too have such factors -- I believe that they do -- but these ratings are not revealed to you. |

Player development:
The part of the game is a bit tough to manage at the moment as you don't get visual help in the form of minorleague stats and/or an visual indicator (like the arrow in the PC/Mac version). Minorleague stats are not possible at the moment due to the hardware limitations we have to work with but the next update will contain a visual help when a player might be major league ready. One thing I always do is bringing up young prospects for short stints (injury replacement, September callup) and keep an eye on the stats.
