Diagnosis not yet known
Had a question regarding injury....I have played two games into my season and Yadier Molina was injured running the bases and it read under "injury log" that the diagnosis was not yet known and that under "editor" it says length of injury is 1000 days...when I moved him to the DL it said out for 33 months. Will that change because the diagnosis is not yet known or should I move him to the 60 day DL?
Thanks Matt |

Once the injury is fully diagnosed, his injury data will show the correct info.
Just curious, but why would you put him on the DL right away? What if his injury is just a day to day thing for 4 days? By placing him on the DL you've now lost his services for 15 days, when you might only have had to sit him for 4. It's one of those "Do I or Don't I" things, but myself I always like to wait until I know how long he's injured before I move him to the DL. It's also nice the OOTP now includes retroactive DL time. |

Do a search on this and you'll find my post where I damn near had a heart attack when this happened to me. I lost like Brandon Phillips, Jay Bruce, and Scott Rolen I believe it was for 33 months during one game!! I was so pissed I was ready to stop playing the game period lol. But after a few days the injuries were diagnosed. Most were severe and the player was out for a pretty good length of time. But no where near 33 months.
Bluenoser, the managers home screen does recommend that you put these players on the DL when this happens. I was tempted to do the same thing until I posted the problem and you guys told me to wait a bit. |

Since then I have disabled "delayed injury diagnosis". It's fine if you play out your games or sim one day at a time, but it's not really designed for longer sim periods/online leagues. |
