General Strategic Tendencies

Which is given more weight..adjusting the general strategic tendencies or overal roster strategy by team.

Im mixing years by team in my leauge so I have teams from 1903, 1940's, 60's 80's etc. in the same leauge Obviously the strategies vary team by team.

Do the historical teams that get inported reflect the actual strategies for that year or do I need to adjust each teams strategy to reflect how they used pitchres, stole bases etc?

I noticed that for example the 1903 Redsox team favored hitting over pitching.
