Too many injuries?(sorry)

Yep, I know this had allot of threads with the last version. I don't see one with 2012, but I have to ask again about this. Why: 30 games in with the
Seattle Mariners and I have 3 starters on the disabled list: Seager, Montero and Ichiro. Really? Hard to stomach really. (I guess I'm getting sick too

And we don't even use the MLB average. I mean, look at the Red Sox DL, they have more money on it then the payroll of a few teams.

But maybe I should make it an option in the future, then everyone can just use whatever he likes.

To what? We use a value that is below the MLB average. I thing people just hate it when player get injured (I guess coaches in reality don't like it either) but just take a look around the Majors right now: so many teams have a great number of players on the DL.

This was my injury list for one season. I'd had players with a mix of replace every 3 days and 7 days. None of them were listed as being fragile or injury prone. except for michael young, none were that old. this was just a horrific may where i lost pretty much my entire starting lineup

4/10 Crawford 6 days
4/11 morrow day to day
5/1 soto 4 weeks
5/3 michael young 4 weeks
5/10 todd walker 4 weeks
5/11 mujica 5 days
5/14 Castro 2 days
5/15 o flagerty suspended 5 games
5/23 longoria 5 weeks
5/26 Castro 5-6 weeks
5/28 Carlos Gonzalez 2 days
6/2 Carlos Gonzalez 6 months (fractured skull no less running into a wall)
6/10 walker 6 days
6/10 nelson Cruz 6 weeks
6/21 Crawford 1-2 weeks
7/21 Crawford 4 weeks
8/3 Harper 5 days
8/5 votto 7 days
8/14 o flagerty 7 days

Fantasy Baseball Player Injury Updates | MLB.com: Fantasy

Boston Red Sox, only one month and only actual Day to Day injuries. Click through the other teams, your list is not that uncommon.

Look at the Milwaukee Brewers in the last week
1. Carlos Gomez 15-day
2. Mat Gamel out for season (tore ACL)
3. Alex Gonzalez out for season (tore ACL
4. Ryan Braun DTD sore Achilles

Sometimes the injury bug hits

Palli how about instead of enabling injuries or disable have different levels. For example same as MLB. 75% of MLB. 50% of MLB. Etc.

maybe we could just cut back on the number of fractured skulls then. I lost carlos gonzalez for 6 months last year and now evan longoria career is OVER due to one this year. Even Dickie Thon came back from his fractured skull

Yeah, in OOTP you can change the injury frequency (and we don't use the "MLB Average" setting in iOOTP but the "Average" setting, which is below). I will try to make it a setting in iOOTP in one of the updates (as always, we need to find space to add it).

wow, there are so many threads about this. Maybe you should sticky a topic about this so people won't make something like this anymore?

I will put the option into one of the updates, just not sure which one. People then can chose which level they want to use.
