Do you Clean House?

When I start a new MLB game, i usually clean house when it comes coaches. Does anyone else do this right away?

I normally let the existing coaching contracts expire if I do not like their ratings and replace them with the best available. That way I hire in stages and can get better overall coaching talent.

I always look at their ratings, especially in the minors if I can upgrade off the bat. I figure someone with mediocre ratings won't be too hard to replace with at least the same value.

One thing that is bugging me with this version, is when I offer a contract to a coach, if he decides to go elsewhere I do not get any notification. So I keep simulating waiting for his response, yet hes already signed elsewhere and any other candidates have since moved on.

When I continue to have an opening, it is displayed on my manager's home page as needing personnel and the link to available personnel.

I just started a new game. I fired my manager and hired someone else who was much better from the list of available coaches. I was satisified with the rest of my staff.

I'll get rid of someone if someone else better is available which, I think, is the logical way of doing things.

Pretty much this, especially where the existing coaches are cheap and not a lot worse than the replacements would be. I have some success with reassigning guys too, or did in prior versions. If your AA pitching coach is horrible, try sending him down to a lower level (or depending on your perspective, to AAA).
