If autarkis doesn't beat me to the punch why not join the BPLA. It is a fictonal league getting ready to start and I too will be a fellow first time GM.(as will several others I think.) You can reach autarkis at autarkis33@yahoo.com and he will give you the URL to the site and all the info you need.

There are several leagues advertising openings right now.
Although you seem open to anything, a good idea might be to scout out the leagues and see what really interests you the most. You may prefer real players over fictional players or vice versa. A fast paced league may be more enjoyable than a slow paced league. The era settings may have an impact on your enjoyment. Just jumping into the first league that send out an invite may not always be the best idea.
If a person's interest wanes, the league may find itself having to replace owners right off the bat which is not fun. See about finding a good match for both sides!

Good luck and have fun!

I've got to agree with you LivinLegend it is certainly important that you choose the right league. Not only for you but for the league, having owners leave can give a league a trashy rep.

But if you're in the market for a good fictional league look at the BPLA. I would most certainly check out others leagues though to find what where you interests lie, and then make a decision.
