Yet another "When to input" thread
Usually when I import my solo season ( I play out my games) I do it when the season is just over. This year I still have 40 games left and I don't see myself finishing before this weekend. Have any of you import mid season? Will it mess anything up if I do import mid-season....

Last year I tried to import mid season and the financials went haywire, I was using custom numbers and when I imported all teams were losing money, i think after a patch or 2 they fixed this though. I am thinking I might try to import again mid season but back up the game first since I really want to keep this season, then import and see what happens...if it is messed up I can go back to 12 and finish the season and reimport. |

I imported a 30 year old league at mid-season into the beta version with no problems.

This will work without issues. However, I'd suggest turning the new CBA rules on prior to the offseason start, not during the season.

Markus will you please elaborate on this? How does one turn on the CBA rules (Collective Bargaining Agreement?), and isn't the offseason not during the season?

my league is just about to start the 1923 season, and thus I am still well before any sort of CBA nonsense. Can I safely assume that those league settings will carry over? I have NEVER imported a league before. I always just started anew, but do not want to do that, at all, this time, so if this seems like a silly question, there you go.

yeah everything should import over fine
most things take effect in the offseason so anytime before wouldn't matter when it was done |

That makes sense. I figured that would be a good way to do it. Your success and the fact that it says so in the manual, makes it an easy choice. I will play out this final 1923 season, then hold the league right after finishing up the World Series. Backup the league too of course. Can't have enough backups.

Backup, yes - or just leave ootp12 installed for a little bit until you are sure everything is good to go! |
