RIBC opens doors on new 'Hall of Fame'

the Rude Island Baseball Congregation has completed 13 seasons. we use a tight "one vote only" policy on possible 'Island of Immortality' players. before this season, only one player had ever received even one vote (RF log pilo). all that changed when sarge adrov and albie 'clam' brudenell just retired.

we have created a first go of the IOI. i'm not sure if any league has done this quite like what we have. i'd love to hear about others if something similar has been done, or even a better idea.

we used a program called room arranger to create a 3D environment. it has some known league 'art work', as well as our first two plaques and a couple of player exhibits. a template was used for this first attempt, but we will do a completely new bespoke house at some point.

one key to things was online availability. we wanted owners to be able to view this easily. this program is hardly the bees knees for graphics, but it does have an online option for viewing, which is pretty dang sweet. it is a bit clunky...but we have an IOI in which you can actually (virtually) walk around!

to be able to see it, you gotta have a 3D viewing program. go here:

get the one for microsoft explorer...we have had the best luck with that browser for this purpose

ideally, i'd like to get a billboard out near the road and then a banner up at the entrance. i dunno - our guys like the concept. let me know if you do, too.

i have attached a screencap of the entryway area. you can see the Sacred Order of the White Pants above the fireplace, the staircase (where you can faintly see the exhibit of Kameleon Kenworthy's cup), and just make out Sarge Adrov IOI plaque. through the door to the left is Clam Brudenell's plaque.
