Transition from Deadball era to the high offense 1920's
Anyone out there who plays out all the games ever made this transition? I'm almost through 1917 and as I get closer to the end of the Deadball era I'm starting to get a little worried. Looking forward to more home runs, but the high league averages and overall runs per game is going to be a massive change. When I play fictional, I have always preferred my league batting average to be somewhere in the .240-260 range. The league averages in the 20's are for the most part .280 and above. It's going to be interesting to say the least.

I'm not sure if it works for fictional leagues but I think that if you have the game set up to adjust the modifiers for historical accuracy automatically then you shouldn't have a problem.

Hey Carl, what I'm worried about is going from the low offense numbers of the deadball era to the high offense numbers of the 20's. I know the game itself will do a great job of replicating real life, I just wonder if I will enjoy having entire teams hit for such high averages. I know, I'm strange. Sorry for not being too clear.

My historical sim (after reloading my backup) has gone through the transition okay. There is a definite jump in averages from around .255 through the 1910's to .285 in the 20s. A corresponding jump in ERA is also there.
