PLAY BALL! League Information/Sign-Ups

I've been experimenting for the past year in different leagues so I could get a good feel for them, so now I know for sure I'm ready to start one of my own. Now I know most people will want an OOTP5 league to start upon release, but since most people won't be getting it right then I'll just go ahead and start an OOTP4 league. Here is some information that you guys might find helpful if you have interest in the league. I'll also answer any questions either here, or e-mail me, gbl_baseball@yahoo.com / pcline26@aol.com.

- We'll be starting completely from scratch, no record books. The way I see it, if I created a league and ran a few years to get history then it would just feel more like a pick-up league, no innovation in that right?

- I am hoping for at least 16 franchises to start out with, 24 would be great, however 16 is a great start, and it would be more managable for the first year or two of the league.

- The format is going to be fictional players as well as fictional teams, seems more of a challenge when you don't already know what the player can do. The sim' schedule right now is planned for two times a week, one calendar week per sim'. A few people have told me two weeks per sim' is good, but I'll make this a vote prior to the start of the season.

- Seems like most of the people here like to see a website before they join a league, I couldn't agree more. Only problem is, I don't want to go ahead and release a website unless I can tell the league will be going ahead as planned. I've got a template, etc...ready but I do have confidence this league will get off the ground.

- Staying on the topic of the league website, I am hoping to get us some space on the OOTPLeagues.com Servers (I have contacted .400 Software Studios and they assure me there is space left,) so this will require I have 12 eLicense licenses or proof of purchase to send to .400 before they activate the website.

- So now, off all of the paragraphs and down to the plain ole' feature list :

* Financial System (no salary cap).
* Full Minor Leagues.
* Coaches/Managers will be put to a vote.
* 2 leagues, 2 divisions.
* Initial Draft, 25 live rounds.
* Team markets will startout the same.
* League Committes for Trading/Relocation and Expansion will be formed by five owners. However Relocation won't be allowed but once every 5 to 10 years.

Who are the player photos? They look like high school kids

They are from the face pack on OOTPlanet.com, they're mostly all college photos and some minor league.
