CBL2 Moving to OOTP 12

Historical league looking to add a bunch of GMs for the 1967 season. We have a nice core group of guys that date back to Front Page Sports BBPro '98 leagues. If you're interested, send me an email at vindiesel17 AT gmail.com.

commish caught abusing power several times. he deleted this reply once already, but the truth cannot be silenced!

Since i've been asked, here are some specifics, this is not all inclusive but gives you a taste:
1. Forced through a trade following the waiver trade deadline in september of a season. rescinded the trade after league pressure but not without a tantrum.
2. Set waiver period for 8 days then simmed 10, claiming players placed on waivers that no other teams had a chance to even see were on waivers. Again placed players back on teams selected from after league pressure, again was not happy to have to do it.
3. Booted an owner for not attending drafts and trying to improve his team while allowing another owner to run on autopilot for a year. Allowed owner back into league a short time later when replacement owner quit and he could not find another replacement.

Antics led to 4 owners quitting in mass on him with another following shortly there after. Much of league suspects cheating beyond what has been conclusively proven.

This can easily turn into flaming, so I'll be addressing this issue and moving on, regardless of the responses posted by "Ho-Chi Vin" or any other accusers.

1. I did, in fact announce a trade after the non-waiver deadline. I tried to be strategic with when the trade was announced and admit this was an unfair use of being commissioner. The trade had no bearing on the outcome of my season (I was a last place team) and the trade was retracted to later be completed in the off-season. I acknowledge that this was an abuse of power and have vowed not to do anything even remotely close in the future.
2. The waiver period was simply a mis-communication on my part. I apparently gave the league an impression that GM's would get a free pass of players through waivers, one time before the season started. This in fact was NOT what I intended and when players were claimed (two of which by me, others by other teams) complaints were made. When I offered a solution, the team who was losing players to me was getting back the players on their roster where they had been originally before the waiver issue (back on the active roster). This was unacceptable to the GM in question and due to incessant bickering from said owner, I was essentially forced to give this GM a free pass through waivers because I could not relieve the GM's qualms otherwise. The GM subsequently RELEASED the players in question, which baffled me and annoyed me since it shouldn't have been such a big deal in the first place since the players were simply not that valuable in the first place.
3. The owner removed was asked to come back after an agreement to export regularly and attend drafts or submit a draft list. Since then, the GM has been extremely active and is still involved in the league.

As far as the "4 GMs who quit in mass," two of them are brothers, the third is a personal friend of their's and the fourth was involved because of the third GM. I have since replaced all four GMs and have been running a league free of complaints and strong disagreement for an entire season. My last point will be that one of the 4 GMs has quit EVERY league I've ever been in with him because he was always unhappy with what happened in each league, INCLUDING the league he founded with a GM who is still in my league. This involves the original CBL, the BEER league and the CSBL. Personal issues apparently remain unresolved with this GM and as someone I played with in simulation leagues for years, I considered him a friend but apparently the consideration was not mutual. I would be more than happy to accommodate anyone who is interested in discussing the matters further in an effort to fill the remaining team available. However I will not respond to further accusations by the former GMs who find it necessary to bash my league and try to prevent GMs who also consider(ed) them online friends from having a full and active league. Remember, "Ho Chi Vin." There are 19 other players in the league and trying to ruin the league isn't just a shot at me, it's a shot at them as well.

I like to run a fun, fair league. If you're looking for that and the other aspects of my league interest you, please don't let these accusations deter you from joining. Thanks.

You know, trying to ruin the fun of playing in an online league for those that are innocent is not only ridiculous but it's also classless of you. You knew that there was more to the story than what you posted. I guess you don't give a damn about those that are innocent. And I guess you have never made a mistake in your life, right? Oh but that's different, right? Uh huh, sure it is.

Btw, if you seriously think your post above proves anything then I say you've lost your marbles.

Jeers,
Lollar9

I've decided to leave both posts because the commish did answer the accusations. Please avoid further posts on the accusations as that should allow this thread to get back on track.

Thank you

He did not delete your earlier post, I did. We do not want flame wars forming in the on-line forums. If you have issues with the commish, please address them privately hence forth.

Your latest post will stay, the commish responded well and no one else seems to have a problem here. End it here please ho-chi-vin.

Thank you

Just one team left available, the Cleveland Indians. The GM was forced to leave the league due to time constraints. Rebuilding club with a lot of promise! Shoot me an email or a PM if interested!

In response, CBL has been more then welcoming to this Neebie. They have been very helpful.
