Suggestions for fictional settings
I've been trying to start a fictional league to represent a townball or semi-pro type league. Things seem to fall apart after the completion of the first season.
I havent been able to figure out how to set the financial settings. I want the players to make only a few thousand a year. When I hit the second season salaries always seem to skyrocket. What I have tried is to pick a year for the salary and then leave the auto import for financials off. I've done the same things for stats. Am I missing something that causes the salaries to jump so high? Any tips on how to set this up would be greatly appreciated. |

If salaries are jumping the league is likely making way too much money. Ideally you want the amount of money going out to equal the amount coming in. The players know how much money the league has and will ask for salaries to match.
You can lower the average attendance per game, lower the average ticket price, lower the media/merchandising levels, play a shorter season (more games, more money), or some combination of them all. |

Take a look at the financial projections. As stated above, you probably need to drain some money out of the league to get the results you want. As with all financial settings, run a long test before you commit to anything.
