Can i edit players negotiation mood?
I offered a bad contract, he is ticked.
Can this be done? thanks. Not that it was bad, i offered 10,000,000 by accident, when i realized what i had done, tried to fix to 1,000,000 and he is ticked about previous offer, all because of an issue with my not seeing where the comma was placed. Last edited by rudoggy; 08-11-2011 at 08:39 AM. |

why would he be ticked of an offer of 10 mill?
i would be happy if an offer of 1 million was offered at 10 million by mistake but maybe thats just me |

I had offered 10m by mistake, not an official offer, but submitted for his approval, then when i realized what i did, when i offer a more inline contract, he gets ticked that my last offer was better.

Haha, can you blame him? You say "Hey man, come play with our team, we'll pay you $10 million." He says "Oh hell yeah, I'm aboutz to get paid! Where do I sign?" Then you say "Just sign right here, but we're going to pay you $1 million instead, I changed my mind".
![]() I would guess that there would be a way to go in and edit his mood, but I don't know for sure. |

I get it. It was a mistake which i am trying to fix.
IRL i would have my minions following behind me making sure I don't do stupid things. Anyone actually know the answer? Not looking for a "deal with it" answer. I do know i can just settle on the before contract and edit it later as well as his history, just a mood reset would be easier. thanks. |

only option i can see besides the "deal with it" answer i try to edit his morale in commish mode. Though i don't think that works though.
i'm still confused on why he would be upset to get an offer of 10 million or did he get mad after you lowballed him with the 1 million the second time? try editing his morale otherwise i'm sorry to say you may be stuck with him pissed off at you. |

I know you can do this. If you can afford it, sign him to the $10M contract, then after he signs, you can go it and edit the contract amount to $1M. Problem should be solved

You can also edit him onto another team then back to yours and that should reset his negotiating.

thanks for feedback. The reason i don't want to do this is I want real negotiations, not forcing him to accept when I am not sure he would have anyway. So the force was a last resort.

But it is a good solution if nothing else works.

Another fix is to edit his current contract to extend for one more year then negotiate next year. Once you give him the $10 million even for one year, he will probably have an inflated value of himself. Thats my experience.
