How does an online league work?

How does an online league actually work? If I want to join one, what do I need and how are games played? How many days does a season last? Do I have to be online at certain hours of a day?

Hi Dutchy,
Basically this is how you participate in an online league.

- The commisioner will post a league file on the site for you to download into your game.
- The league usually has a sim schedule. FOR EXAMPLE (lets say a league sims monday and thursday at 7 days per sim.
- So once the commisioner runs the sim on monday and uploads it you will download the updated sim and make all the changes in your team as you want. You can make any changes you want to your team as long as you upload by thursday.
- Once it is time for the next sim, the commish runs the sim and uploads. you download the file and the export your roster, etc.

That is basically how an online league goes. If you need further clarification please ask!

There are no times that you HAVE to be online, as long as you export your team before the next sim is ran. Once the sim is ran, you can download the updated file anytime through OOTP.

So, basically you don't really prepare for a game against someone else? You never get to play a match?
