Scouting seems way off
Dear All,
I'm managing a current Cub team in the updated version of OOTP 12. My main scout - Tim Wilkens - is rated "good" for both minor and major league scouting. But when it comes to rating Andrew Cashner, Mr. Wilkens gives him a half start for both rating and potential. Even I knew that's not right. He's currently listed as the 4th best prospect in the Cubs' system. So I temporarily turned off scouting and voila! Cashner is suddenly rated at 3.5 stars with a 4 star potential. I turn scouting back on and he's back to a throwaway player. That's probably the worst example, but it's certainly not the only one. In the general settings, I set scouting accuracy up a notch and that seems to have helped, but something seems to be really off here. Any thoughts? Thanks! Jeff |

That's exactly how it works, your scout underrates some and overrates others.
There's a global option for "scouting accuracy", the default is normal but I usually turn it to "high" to reduce the effects you're describing, but not elminate them. I usually end up laughing when Rocky Cherry or Valentino Pascucci turn out to be less than hall of famers
