Mr. Everything??

I located this player in the draft one season of my 30 team fictional league and if I didn't have players rated higher on my draft board I would have drafted him. Too bad he didn't pitch and hit as well as he could field.

His rating is 57/80 with average batting ratings. His three and a half year total is: .251 BA, 39 HR, 249 RBI, 210 R, .327 OBP, and, unfortunately, 423 K.

What is his problem with left field I wonder?

I had a right fielder that, when converted, could be a 2-star pitcher.

Too bad he only threw low 80s with poor control.

I drafted a guy last round that was a crappy (duh) shortstop. Defense ratings showed he could pitch. Kinda liked his ratings (starter level stamina and better than 40 control). Sure, better than the rest. He was like a 20/31 for talent and potential as a pitcher but he did well and grew a bit during roster expansion. Again in pre-season, to a guy that earned a spot on active roster. A year or two later and he's a 77/80 talent and potential all star starter that has dominated for several years.

I still don't know how that happened!

Also drafted or viewed a late rounds starter with high batting potential, randomly.

I wish the hitter I posted about could actually hit as well. I think he is a bench player on another fictional team making about 2.3M per season.

I have a few of these in various games. I just search free agents for defense and pick someone who can cover a lot of positions. That way if I get hit with an injury at least my fielding wont be affected too much.
