BB with bases loaded

In my fictional league I have a pretty poor cast of starting and relief pitchers. That is very clear. However they LOVE to walk the bases when they are loaded. In 15-20 games of my first year with the club they must have walked in at least 5 runners. Now granted this isn't a huge test and my pitchers aren't all that great but it happens (one time one reliever walked in back to back runners).

Should be noted that I manage every game by watching the games play out

I play out all my games in one pitch mode and only do the substitutions for my team. This way I don't take advantage of the AI teams. They have walked a run in but very rarely.

If you only handle the substitutions then make sure that on the 'Options & Preview" screen just before you start your game that in the 'Pitcher Warmup Rule' you have 'No warmup required'. If it's on without you using the bullpen then your pitchers will give a ton of walks. This setting should stick for every game. Just make sure to double check with a new season. I didn't noticed one season and it was 'on' and sure enough my pitchers were walking a whole bunch.

If that's not your problem then I don't know.

I dunno. I've never used warm-ups but I can usually bank on my reliever to walk the first batter he faces. Alright it's more like 33% but it does seem to happen a bit, but of course I have no hard statistical data as to the frequency it happens in the MLB either so it could be spot on.

Most of my pitchers though won't walk anyone in when the bases are full. Occasionally it happens and usually that's from my #5 starter who has a control rating of 3 out of 10 so what can you expect you know?

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.

You might have to adjust the bases on balls modifier. I played an entire season of Arizona League rookie ball and the team with the most walks had Over 400 which is double the realistic league leader of 201 last year. My team averaged 8-10 walks per game and walked runs in on a regular basis.
