Double of every player??

So in my franchise in the game, I noticed early on that some players had double of some players. The first time I noticed was because the New York Yankees traded Nick Swisher to the New York Yankees for Nick Swisher. But it's happened more often now (the Marlins traded Leo Nunez for Sam Fuld, now they just traded Leo Nunez for Tyler Skaggs). This made me wonder what the heck is going on and I guess there are doubles for every single player.

I have no idea as to why this is, I just did things like delete one of the Nick Swisher's and Nunez's but now that I see there are doubles of every player I am not going to go through and delete one of every single player.

It's really weird though because the players are like the exact same. They have the same ratings (give or take a few points here and there) and the same stats, but they have different pictures.

Here's an example:

That's not the best example I guess because those two actually have quite different stats and stuff, no idea why that is.

I see that they are in different leagues, one Major League Baseball and one Major Leagues... I know when I first started I changed the league name in the options menu from ML to MLB, but did that create doubles of every player?

Is there anything I can do, like delete one of the leagues or something? I really don't want to start over because I edited a lot of ratings of prospects and stuff

It looks like you at one point added a second major league to your major league. That's a major major league!

If you add a league, then delete it, all the players in the league are dumped into the FA pool.

Or maybe you have two ML enabled in one season/world template? So there are two Marlins or Dodgers franchises doing the same thing?

I've not tried so far in 12, but in 11 you could have a rookie draft for each minor league and it would just reuse the same file set if you enabled historical rookies. I was trying to run full minors and ended up with 6 clones of players running around.

Hey thanks guys. I fixed the problem myself though. Still don't know what caused it :P

If anyone else has this problem, here's what I did:

1) Renamed all the double leagues (since all the minor leagues had two of each as well) with the word DELETE at the end. This was just so I didn't get confused and delete the wrong one.

2) There was another rookie class created for that league, didn't know how this would effect anything so I just deleted it.

3) Went to each MLB teams roster page and had it show all players (so I could save time by not having to delete minor league teams individually), and deleted every player.

4) Went to the game or league options page, whatever it's called, and I deleted all the leagues with DELETE at the end.

5) Free agents were doubled as well, so the free agents were doubled in my league as well so the only thing I could really do here was just delete one of the two guys, but only for the top free agents so I didn't have to go through however many players there are since deleting a scrub FA double isn't a big deal to me.

So hopefully if anyone else has there problems, they can solve it like this. It did the job for the most part. I should say, though, that coaches were doubled as well and I didn't even think about that so I do have doubles of a lot of coaches now sitting in the available pool, as well as every coach and manager who is currently in my league has their double in the available personnel area. I would have deleted all of these guys the same way I deleted the players from each organization, but when I went to the personnel area for each team I would have had to delete each coach individually from each team in the organization.. and I just didn't really want to do that so instead I just delete doubles when I see them in the free agent pool, and I deleted the big name guys (the Francona's, La Russa's, etc, etc) from the FA pool as well.

ALSO, just in case anyone thinks I had to delete each player from each team individually, I did not. You can select all players by clicking the little dot/checkmark area on the left side.

That's how I've started to do things too when moving teams and leagues around, helps keep track of things as you go.
