Heads up on your budget...
This isn't a bug, but you might need to be warned. If you edit your development budget and then your scouting budget, and it runs over your overall budget, the game will reduce your player development budget down without warning. Keep and eye on that and check it before you hit play, or might be stuck with a small amount in the development budget. I wish there were a warning, because I could see being screwed by it. Luckily I caught it before going to the next day (at the begining of the MLB 11 real rosters game) or I'd been pissed.

I think, but I could be wrong that you can only adjust those in the pre-season. If that is the case just adjust it early in pre-season then check it the next day. But as you pointed out you need to be careful if you adjust it at the beginning of a game since the pre-season then is very short.
I think the issue is that you have a limited amount of money to spend and if you assign a value over that amount it will reduce either scouting or player development. I think it reduces to a fixed or default level and does not simply deduct the amount you specify by the amount over budget. I had a similar thing happen in 11 when I didn't notice until after the season started that my scouting budget was a lot less than I had originally set. I think it happened when player salaries started taking up a much larger share of the team budget. Last edited by superdaws; 06-22-2011 at 07:13 PM. |
