League began in July of 2011 with the MLB quick-start file. We have a solid core of at least 20 GMs who've been with us since Day 1. Our forums are incredibly active (Over 10,000 posts in our first 10 months) with discussions, team reports, league articles and a cash pool for a little betting on the side. The league's rules & processes are constantly evolving as we're always looking for ways to improve on the experience. We have a very experienced 5 member Executive Committee that helps make decisions and steer the league in the right direction.

We're only about 2 weeks into our innaugural season and we have 2 teams open. Both teams remain untouched as neither GM did anything with them.

We've just finished our first World Series and are about to head into the Offseason. We have 3 openings and it's the perfect time to get involved.

Texas Rangers
- They remain untouched as the previous GM ran into some work issues and the league ran the team for most of the season. They struggled last season with no leadership but are poised to dominate the AL with an active GM making strong personnel decisions.

Detroit Tigers
- They made some smart moves and ran away with the AL Central only to get knocked out of the Playoffs by the eventual champs from Tampa. They won 100 games and should be able to win at least that many for the foreseeable future.

Florida Marlins
- The previous GM was steering the team in the right direction, making solid moves to get younger and continue the rebuild. Still managed to finish .500 and take 2nd place in the NL East.

Boston Red Sox are open. Won the AL East last season, mostly in-tact.

We're still in our 1st Offseason, just now starting on FA. Perfect time to get in and sign some players to help out.

We have a rare opening, the LA Angels. They're currently in rebuilding mode and headed in the right direction. They also have a huge budget so acquiring vets with large contracts won't be an issue should you choose to go that route.

We're currently in the Offseason (12/20/12) after our 2nd season. Free Agency is still in it's infancy and there's plenty of time to make wholesale changes to the roster if you choose.

The Tampa Bay Rays won the World Series in Season 1 and went on to win over 110 games in Season 2. They were then knocked out of the playoffs in the LDS by the eventual Season 2 Champs, the Oakland A's. The Rays are a stacked team from top to bottom, while the A's are a classic Moneyball team with solid pitching & defense. So as you can see, there are many ways to win in our league and the small markets have just as much chance as the large...with a smart GM making the right decisions.

Get in now while you can. We still have 20 original members and I don't see another opening for the foreseeable future.

We're still in May of our 2013 season and the New York Yankees are currently open. They have the largest budget in the league at over $200M per season, yet have failed to reach the Playoffs for our first 2 seasons so there's nowhere to go but up. The last GM did make some shrewd moves to get younger/cheaper, but they still need some work. With a committed and active GM, this team should be able to contend every season.

We're about to wrap up our 2013 playoffs and we have the following openings heading into the Offseason:

Oakland A's
Won the 2012 World Series behind their strong pitching and timely hitting. They're former GM left to take on another rebuilding challenge after he won it all. This team still has dominant starting pitching and a solid farm system.

Arizona DBacks
Another really good young team loaded with talent throughout the roster and system. Again, their former GM left to take on a bigger challenge and left them in great shape. Finished 6 games above .500 in the ultra-competitive NL West.

FYI - We'll be taking a league-wide vote to determine if we transition to OOTP 13 after our next season and most of the bugs are worked out.

We will happily accept guys with little to no experience with OOTP or just with online leagues. We have a few GMs that had 0 OOTP experience when they started with us and we're full of guys that are more than willing to help you learn the ropes.
