What does it take to get an update on 1.1 around here?

Last update from Palli was on June 5th...it's June 13th now...what do we have to do to get an update?

Us paid beta-testers deserve better than this.

I don't think it's lacking in patience to be disappointed at the lack of communication here. Especially for a game--and the low price is NOT an excuse--that was released with game-killing bugs where it NEVER should have seen the light of day in that condition.

Sorry if you think the game is 'crappy'. I don't agree. Yes it has bugs, but it's still a total blast to play. I'm thrilled to have it and will be even more thrilled whenever the update comes out, but in the meanwhile, life is good.

To be honest, I took a few days of from reading the boards and get some work done.

Adding In-Game Purchase of historical seasons takes longer then expected as it has to be coded from the ground up + I have to create over 100 seasons for iOOTP + editing the descriptions for every year + generate Bundles of 10 seasons under a theme + beta testing all the new stuff and bug fixes. I guess you get the point why I was a little more silent the last few days.

But to give you an update:

All new baseball (or OOTP relevant) features are done and tested. Game Center works and is almost tested. In-App purchase is done from a technical standpoint (so you can select which seasons to buy and receive them in-game) but the screens need a finishing touch and I have to generate all the seasons one by one.

So what is next on our list?

I will start a poll today so you can vote for the initial bundles that are included with the 1.1.0 update. I want to get the update into Apple hands in the next 7-10 days but that depends how smooth the beta testing goes (right now most beta tester are tied up with the final OOTP12 beta testing and so is our graphics guy).

@ Total Coelo: would you mind giving me a list of the "game-killing bugs", so I can make sure to fix them all? Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to give us such a thorough update. You could have just said, "Wait for it--it will be worth it" or something. . .

I'm excited to get to vote for the seasons to roll out, and to learn that "all" seasons will eventually be available still.

I'd still like to suggest that you accept volunteers to help with the historical seasons--even writing descriptions of past seasons could be done quickly if you do a little crowdsourcing.

I purchased the same day as release. I play almost everyday. I have not had one game-killing bug. I have not had one lock up of the game. I totally agree that you should list these bugs and not just rant. If you want to help then show a list.

I will be around much more often now, as the programming part of the update is almost done. But if I post a lot I lose that time for working and when private stuff and/or illness cuts your time you have to concentrate on one thing.

I will write a Road to (Update-)Release article after the patch is submitted to Apple, focusing on the new features.

Can we get some insight to what's changed in the update besides adding teams?
I'm still hoping we will see defense strategy on screen. For example infield in, corners in, etc. I need to know what they are doing when I'm batting.
Or if room is not available maybe ability to hit infield or outfield while batting and button is highlighted as to what position they are in.
Also if you need any more beta testers I'm available. I don't think I missed playing one day since I downloaded and no crashes yet. Running iPhone 4 with max storage. AT&T if that matters.

Considering we see top apps like Pocket God and Angry Birds go months between updates, complaining about 8 days is a little silly.

I really liked the way you bundled the seasons--much different than I expected. Very Creative. I hope people vote early (too bad it can't be often).
